Laborsan Agro launches its first Sustainability Report with GRI guidelines

Summary

Laborsan Agro, a national reference in inputs for the agro-industrial sector, announces the launch of its first Sustainability Report, drawn up based on the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), one of the most respected global standards in ESG reporting.

The document presents the results obtained in 2024 and highlights significant progress, such as the reduction of approximately 19% in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions compared to 2023 (indicator 305-1). It also highlights the 16.95% reduction in the generation of class I waste, destined for the co-processing process - a direct result of more efficient environmental management (indicator 306-3).

Another important point is the strengthening of diversity in the corporate environment. In the last four years (2021-2025), the number of women at Laborsan Agro has grown by around 54%, reinforcing the company's commitment to gender equity (indicator 405-1).

As part of its strategy of responsible innovation and reducing environmental impact, Laborsan Agro has developed the LabFix G5 Eco line, a biodegradable polymer formulated from sustainable raw materials and free of microplastics. The technology represents an important advance by offering high technical performance combined with environmental responsibility.

The report also reaffirms Laborsan Agro's alignment with the goals of the Paris Agreement for 2030 and with Brazil's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), especially in the areas of adaptation to climate change and mitigation of GHG emissions, both through products and the energy efficiency of its production processes.

"This report represents a milestone in our history. It reflects our commitment to agricultural production that is more responsible, transparent and aligned with the challenges facing the climate and society," says Francisco Eduardo de Albuquerque, the company's CEO.

Market trends in agribusiness and the ESG pillars

E (Environmental) - Environmental

Producing with awareness and efficiency is imperative. The sector is seeing the advance of bio-inputs and biodefensives as a response to the demand for less environmental impact. Technologies that save water and energy, reuse waste and promote regenerative agriculture are increasingly gaining ground.

Reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, Laborsan Agro has joined the environmental compensation of packaging placed on the market, ensuring that an equivalent amount of recyclable waste is collected and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner. This action strengthens reverse logistics and contributes to the development of the circular economy.

In addition, in 2024, the company did not register any environmental non-compliance, remaining in full compliance with laws and regulations - with no significant fines or non-monetary sanctions, according to the GRI indicator.

S - Social

Valuing human capital and strengthening the environment are part of the social responsibility of agribusiness companies. Projects aimed at productive inclusion, rural education, gender equality and the health and safety of rural workers are increasingly integrated into business strategies. Social reputation, including in the export market, is seen as a competitive advantage.

G - Governance

Solid governance includes regulatory and reputational compliance, with a focus on audits, certifications and environmental and labor compliance.

Data-driven management, through ESG indicators and governance dashboards, increases predictability and accountability in decision-making. The sector is making progress in integrating the ESG agenda into corporate strategy, connecting purpose, profitability and legacy.
